McLaren Coils CSO Ignition System Upgrade

While paving the way to 1300+HP with our flagship CSO-X (Cannonball Special Operations Experimental) 765LT, we found the limit of the factory McLaren coils ignition system. To overcome this, we developed a solution that not only allowed us to make a record 1312whp/936tq, it also solved the problem of very expensive OEM replacement coils which have been known to be a problem.

Designed specifically for all McLaren models with the M838T & M840T V-8 Twin Turbo engines, this high-performance ignition coil delivers a powerful spark to take you well over 1000HP. This is a complete, direct bolt in package that plugs directly into your factory connectors. We include a custom boot for perfect, positive engagement to your spark plugs and the necessary mounting hardware.

Through development of our CSO Packages we tested a lot of spark plugs. What we found was a great Iridium plug that when gapped correctly outperformed all others.

While this is stand alone and will provide a significant upgrade on its own, when paired with a CSO spec M-Engineering tune, it optimizes the coil settings for additional spark energy.
